#windowdoctor As a Locksmith I've seen a lot of break ins and attempted break ins. Not pleasant. But the most common request after a break in is a better lock. Or more locks. Which I always think is a great idea but, still too late.

Had my customer upgraded their lock or fixed their existing lock then maybe they would have been broken into. Ensuring your locks are in full working order and are also up to date with what is on the market is a good idea every once in a while - You Upgrade Your Phone more Often than you Upgrade your Door Lock!!

Also, if you've recently moved into a new home - who has the keys to your New Front Door? Do the neighbours have a copy? The plumber? The old owners? For a fraction of the cost of a break in - why not just change the barrel and get your lock upgraded at the same time?
